The Barbertown/Credit Mills neighbourhood consists of larger, luxury style homes that are more expensive than Streetsville's other neighbourhoods. Finally, the historic Downtown core of Streetsville consists of a mixture of residential and commercial zoning with a 19^th century milling village style. While homes in this neighbourhood are a mixture of older century homes and newer condo apartments, there are also newer residential townhomes and commercial buildings with a village style look.

About the Community

Streetsville is conveniently located close to major highways, such as the 401, 407, 410, and QEW. Mississauga Transit provides public bus service throughout Mississauga. Go Transit provides regular bus and train commuter service at the Streetsville Go Station.

A number of community services are conveniently located in and nearby Streetsville. The Credit Valley Hospital, the largest hospital in Mississauga, is located in nearby Central Erin Mills. Numerous community centres are located in Streetsville, such as Vic Johnson Arena, Rivergrove Community Centre, Streetsville Library, and Streetsville outdoor pool. A number of restaurants are located in Streetsville, such as the historic Barber House Restaurant, Cagney’s, and Franklin House near the downtown core. Streetsville also holds a number of regular community events throughout the year, such as Canada Day activities and fireworks at Memorial Park and Mississauga’s Santa Clause Parade. The Bread and Honey Festival has also been held every June since 1973, and includes musical performances, a carnival, and parade.

Streetsville and its various neighbourhoods are served by a number of public schools. Ray Underhill Public School, Vista Heights Public School, and Dolphin Senior provide elementary education, while Streetsville Secondary School is the area’s high school.
